WHIRL PAK® BAGS:
Whirl Pak® sampling bags are made of a blended polyethylene containing ethyl vinyl acetate.
This blend gives the bags two important characteristics that are found only on Whirl Pak®:
Exceptionally clear film, which makes it very easy to see through.
An elastic quality resulting in superior strength.
Whirl Pak® bags are sterilized and the sizes are given in liquid measurements. They may be used
for taking samples of liquids, semi-liquids or solids. The film thickness varies from 2.25 mils to
4 mils depending on the size and style. Because of the EVA blend, a high mil thickness is not required to
achieve optimum strength.
All Whirl Pak® bags feature "puncture proof tabs". This means that the tape on the tab extends
past the ends of the wire. The result is no sharp points, which puncture the bags or cause damage to skin or gloves.
By whirling or tightly folding the tab over three times, the Whirl Pak® bag becomes a leakproof container, which:
Eliminates the loss of a valuable liquid sample, which creates a mess, and possible need to collect a new sample.
Prevents impurities from entering the bag and thereby contaminating the sample.
Bag capacity is based on the volume of liquid the bag will hold after the tab has been folded over three times.
All sizes and dimensions are approximate and should not be used for detailed weighing or measuring.
All sizes and styles are sold in boxes of 500 bags.

It is easy to write on this white strip with an ordinary ball-point pen, pencil or felt tip marker.

WRITE-ON WHIRL PAK® BAGS, BLACK:
When it is necessary to protect a sample from light, the Whirl-Pak® black bag is specially designed for this application.
The polyethylene film is made from pigmented resins so the black color is an integral part of the bag and not a printed layer.
The result is an opaque bag providing maximum protection for samples that are sensitive to light. It is ideal for pharmaceuticals,
spinal fluid, amniotic fluid, seasonings, flavors, food supplements, vitamins, marine life, and many other liquid or solid products.

WRITE-ON WHIRL PAK® BAGS, STAND-UP:
The Whirl-Pak® Stand-Up Bag makes sample handling and testing much easier because it gives users the ability to perform important
laboratory functions with both hands, because the bag will stand completely by itself. No rack or other holder is needed to keep the bag upright.
When the sample is placed inside, the special gusseted bottom flattens out, allowing the bag to stand up on its own. It works just like a beaker or
bottle, however, it costs less, is sterilized, won't break, and uses only a fraction of storage space as the other containers.
The white, write-on strip makes sample identification easier and more convenient. It's easy to write on this white strip using an ordinary ballpoint pen,
pencil, or felt-tip marker. The paper-like finish virtually eliminates ink smearing, and provides a surface that will accept a variety of writing instruments.
Capacity is measured in fluid ounces when the bag is closed and tab is folded over three times. Volume and dimensions are approximate, bags should
not be used at temperatures above 180° F (82° C). Bags can be frozen to any temperature, even liquid nitrogen temperatures down to -346° F (-210° C) -
careful handling required after freezing. All bags are sterilized after manufacturing.

WRITE-ON WHIRL PAK® THIO. BAGS:
Specifically designed for sampling chlorinated water from municipalities, swimming pools, waste water, and other areas
to test for fecal coliforms or other bacteria. Each sterile bag contains a nontoxic, nonnutritive tablet containing active sodium
thiosulfate to neutralize chlorine at the time of collection. The bag is EPA approved and has the additional benefits of saving technician's
time, utility costs, storage space, and disposal costs by replacing other sample containers. Each sterilized bag has a convenient write-on strip.
