DISSECTING TRAYS:

MACRO-INVERTEBRATE SAMPLING TRAY:

A must-have for macro invertebrate studies both in the field and in the classroom! Aquatic samples can be easily viewed and sorted against the white background of this durable porcelain-coated metal tray. Dimensions: 11"W x 15"L x 1"D.

SORTING SPOT PLATES:

Ideal for sorting and identifying macroinvertebrates! These smooth, white plastic sorting plates are more economical than the more expensive glass or porcelain plates. Not recommended for use with acetone, xylene or other strong solvents. Each tray measures 112mm x 92 mm and has 12 depressions. Package of 12.

DISSECTING PANS:

Aluminum with a 1/2″ wax layer on the bottom. Pins stick firmly, but are removed easily. Mild heating will renew wax surface. Available in 2 sizes.

T-BAR DISSECTING PINS:

Crossbar at top makes these pins easy to handle. Reusable, Nickle-Plated. 2″, Pkg/100.

FIN CLIPPING SCISSORS:

These scissors, originally designed for tying flies have become very popular for fin clipping. Razor sharp cutting edges are micro-serrated for precision cuts. They are made from ice-tempered stainless steel and have user adjustable cushioned handles.

DISPOSABLE SCALPEL BLADE REMOVER:

Palm-sized plastic holder designed for safe, hygienic removal of surgical blades from most types of scalpels. Holds between 150 and 300 used blades.

SCALPEL BLADE REMOVER:

Sturdy stainless steel tool for the safe removal of scalpel blades. To use, simply insert scalpel with blade into tool and press sides of tool together towards blade. This dislodges blade from scalpel and at the same time holds blade securely in tool, ready for withdrawal from scalpel. A simple and effective way to avoid cuts during removal.
