AQUAVUE UNDERWATER VIEWER:

Fieldmaster Aquavue Underwater Viewer This viewer is perfect for groups studying aquatic plant and animal life. Look down the 26" tube - you will encounter no surface glare or internal reflection. The Aquavue may also be used with a Secchi disk. The design results in more accurate turbidity readings - you eliminate the errors that could crop up depending upon weather factors, different observers, different angles or different times of day. This apparatus is constructed of crush-resistant tubing and features a black interior, flotation collar, neoprene viewing mask and easy-to-use handle.

LAMOTTE WATER SAMPLER (MODEL: JT-1)

This one liter sampler of clear acrylic is furnished with a 20 meter calibrated line and a lead collar which assures rapid descent and minimal drift. A brass messenger triggers a release mechanism to seal the sample chamber with two fitted rubber plungers at the desired sampling depth. The built-in side outlet and flexible tube allows for removal of the water sample.

NEW! LAMOTTE 1.2 L WATER SAMPLER

Collect water samples quickly and easily! This newly designed horizontal water sampler allows water to be sampled at specific depths. A 20 meter calibrated line, marked at one meter intervals, is included. The clear acrylic tube allows a visual inspection of the sample prior to  dispensing and holds approximately 1,200 mL of sample. 
Send the weighted messenger down the line to trip the closing mechanism at the desired depth. A sampling port allows dispensing of small aliquots of sample, or open one chamber end cap to dispense larger aliquots.

- Suitable for sampling fresh, brackish or salt water.

BASIC WATER SAMPLER

Durable PVC body is impact-resistant. Water can be sampled from any depth as a single-line trigger mechanism uses one line to both raise and lower sampler as well as trigger device to seal collection chamber. Soft rubber end seals securely hold the 1 liter water sample and a drain hose allows transfer to a storage bottle (not included). Includes 20m of cord and instructions.

NEW! STUDENT WATER SAMPLER

Clear acrylic one-liter, horizontal-style water sampler with positive messenger-activated closing mechanism. Includes bottle, 4 oz. tapered nose stainless steel messenger, and 20m uncalibrated nylon line. Not recommended for use in salt water.

WATERMARK® 2.2 LITRE VERTICAL POLYCARBONATE WATER SAMPLER WITH CASE:

Fee-flushing, this vertical bottle collects water samples at any depth. Messenger-activated release mechanism has integral cable clamps allowing samplers to be easily attached to any point on line. Constructed of clear polycarbonate, polyethylene and silicone, this bottle is EPA approved for "ultra-clean" analysis of water, including trace metals and organics.
Unit includes: 2.2 liter vertical bottle, 20.0m nylon cord, line reel, 250g solid bronze messenger, and plastic carrying case.

These popular and versatile bottles come in your choice of transparent acrylic or opaque PVC. PVC is more durable and less costly, but the acrylic allows you to view the bottle contents immediately. Alpha samplers are not suitable for chemical analysis of contents due to the potential for contamination (i.e. by mercury and phosphorus) by the materials in the sampler's construction. For chemical analysis, inquire about the Beta or suggested Kemmerer water samplers. This sampler requires a messenger and line (not included, except in kits) for operation. A thermometer can be mounted inside acrylic Alpha™ bottles.

HORIZONTAL ALPHA WATER SAMPLERS:

Intended for shallow or deep waters, these bottles are called horizontal because they descend, parallel to the bottom. They are pulled sideways just before closing by the operator. This ensures a representative water sample for that specific depth. They are ideal for sampling at the thermocline, at other stratification levels, or just above the bottom sediments.

VERTICAL ALPHA WATER SAMPLERS:

Larger bottles are especially good for collecting small plankton. The wide mouth collects a true water sample with no contamination from other water levels. During descent, the open mouth does not restrict water flow. This makes them particularly suitable for collecting plankton and floating sediments

HORIZONTAL BETA WATER SAMPLERS:

Designed for trace metal sampling. Also may be used for organic sampling to concentrations of mg/L. When running metal, organic, or any other chemical analyses, it is best to run a blank on the sampler prior to use.

NON-METALLIC KEMMERER™ SAMPLERS:

This series of Kemmerer bottles has no metal parts to contact your sample. Delrin fasteners and an O-ring replace the stainless steel garter spring in the All-Angle™ trip head. The bottle body can be either transparent acrylic, which allows you to view your sample before removal, or opaque PVC for greater durability. The all-plastic center shaft is made of plastic CPVC with a plastic delrin nut on its bottom.

Designed for trace metal sampling due to silicone seals. (Polyurethane, although affordable and durable, is not suitable for trace metal sampling because it leaches mercury and other contaminants). Also may be used for organic sampling to concentrations of mg/L. When running metal, organic, or any other chemical analyses, it is best to run a blank on the sampler prior to use. The end seals mount like a tire on a hub and are easy to replace. The end seals should not be sealed, seated, or fully closed during storage. Although made of tough elastomers, they have a tendency to take a set during long periods of inactivity and stress. For this reason, store your Kemmerer with the seals slightly open and not touching the bottle body. This sampler requires a messenger and line (included, with kits) for operation. A thermometer can be mounted inside acrylic Kemmerer bottles.

11 OZ. MESSENGERS:

Stainless steel messengers are weights that slide down a line, strike a pad, and cause a sampler to open or close. Split messengers can slip on or off the line anywhere. Solid messengers are threaded on the line at the end.

POLYESTER 3/16" LINE 100FT HANK:

Braided polyester line has less stretch than nylon line and lasts longer than twisted line. It is woven in such a way that fraying occurs only on the surface without material loss of strength; when the braided jacket becomes fuzzy, you know it's time for a replacement. Stretches 5% or less and can be calibrated with indelible marker.

CALIBRATED LINE & WEIGHT:

This 20 meter, braided, stretch-resistant line has a brass spring clip for easy attachment to samplers, secchi discs, plankton nets or sounding leads. The line wraps conveniently around an ethafoam block which prevents accidental loss.

LaMOTTE DISSOLVED OXYGEN WATER SAMPLER:

This simplified water sampler features a unique, easy to remove 60 ml collecting bottle which is specifically designed to work directly with the LaMotte dissolved oxygen test kit, eliminating sample transfer into second collecting bottle. Sample overflows the collecting bottle 5 times to insure greater representation. Employing a calibrated line allows you to retrieve samples at controlled depths. For rapid descent and minimal drift in low currents, attach a 2 lb weight sampler.

LaMOTTE DISSOLVED OXYGEN / TEMPERATURE SAMPLER:

Collects samples at specific depths. Ideal for collection of dissolved oxygen samples. When trip line is pulled, dissolved oxygen sample bottle will fill, overflow and flush more than three times to insure a representative sample. During retrieval, decreasing water pressure prevents exchange of air and water with sample. Excess water in sample chamber can be used for additional tests such as pH. Interior chamber accommodates an armored thermometer (not included) for accurate sample temperature readings. Accommodates the same sample bottle used in the LaMotte D.O. kit. Use with braided line and weight (not included).

HONDEX DEPTH SOUNDER:

Waterproof to a depth of 150 feet (50m), this sounder features a built-in transducer and measures depths in feet or meters in a range of 1.8 feet to 260 feet (0.6m to 79m). The transducer sends high frequency pulses to the bottom of a body of water where these pulses are reflected back and converted to electrical pulses that are amplified and displayed on the easy-to-read LCD. The seven-digit LCD is backlit for night use. This compact depth sounder transports easily and stores conveniently - it will even slip into a shirt pocket! Powered by a 9V DC dry cell battery (included), the sounder has a battery life of approximately 500 uses and automatically shuts off after 10 seconds. Wrist lanyard included.

NASCO SWING SAMPLERS:

The end of this sampler swings for collecting samples at different angles with a maximum of 90°, making it perfect for sampling streams from steep stream banks. Choose from models with fiberglass pole that extends to 12 feet or 24 feet for flexibility in various situations. A 960 ml bottle is included. A large snapper holds bottles in the 1,000 ml range. The Swing Sampler may be used for liquids, powders, or small solids. Samplers come with an extending fiberglass pole and one 960mL (32.5oz.) polyethylene bottle with plastic snapper ring.

LONG HANDLED DIPPERS, HDPE:

For easy sampling from tanks, vats, lakes, streams, etc.These High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) dippers will not rust or corrode and provide excellent chemical resistance. Firm sampling bowl is welded to reinforced 29mm (1-1/8") diameter handle. The bowl is attached at a 45° angle for easier sampling from an elevated position. The 3.7 m (12 FT) handle is available in one piece or two-piece screw-together construction. The end of the handle has a hook for hanging.
